The Cookie Heaven Story
Introducing the face behind the name. Or should we say the cookie?
My name is Heaven (yes, it’s the name my parents gave me, not to set the bar high or anything). I figured I should introduce myself, and the company, so that you know where in the world these delightful treats are coming from.
To give you a little backstory, this company was born out of lots of pushing from my family and friends to share these delicious treats with others. I started making the Russells 9 years ago, after my husband and I got married. I was determined to perfect the chocolate chip cookie, and it was no easy feat. After much trial and error, I finally crafted a recipe I could hang my hat on. That cookie quickly became the dessert we took to every function we went to and, as a result, people fell in love with them. For years that’s all it was, just a tasty treat that turned into our price of admission at all of our family and friends’ events.
As time went on a few of our family members and close friends began suggesting we sell the cookies. Which I honestly took in jest. Until my father-in-law, subtly (or not so subtly) challenged me to turn this hobby into a business.
Thus, Cookie Heaven was born.
Cookie Heaven is a home based bakery (for right now) specializing in gourmet cookies that are baked and delivered on the same day. Fresh baked cookies y’all. Who could resist that?
Don’t fight the urge to try them all, trust me, you will not regret it.
Everything made from scratch
Signature Cookies
Always baking, always ready to melt in your mouth! Our signature cookies are tried and true, and the best cookies you’ll ever taste – which is why we’re always selling them.
Geraldine
Meet the Geraldine. This gem features candied pecans and homemade caramel held together by our signature cookie dough. Then topped with more homemade caramel, because, duh. Think your grandma’s pecan pie, but in cookie form. Hence the name. Geraldine, is an ode to my husband’s grandmother whose go-to Thanksgiving dish is pecan pie. Even when told she can just show up and eat, you can guarantee there will be pecan pie in her hands. Long story short, if you like pecans and you like caramel then you will love this cookie.
Freda Mae
Meet the Freda Mae. This cookie is packed with creamy peanut butter, oatmeal and chocolate chips. Now, don’t let the oatmeal scare you off, if you aren’t typically an oatmeal cookie kind of person. I have faith that this cookie will change your perspective, maybe even your life (still waiting on the data to backup that claim). The Freda Mae is a nod to my grandmother who makes the world’s greatest oatmeal, which is probably more sugar than it is oatmeal, but it’s been making taste buds dance for decades. Take a bite of this cookie and your taste buds will dance too.
Ruthie Pie
Meet the Ruthie Pie. This cookie is our signature cookie dough, with cinnamon roll filling meticulously folded in, then rolled in cinnamon sugar and topped with an icing that will make you weak in the knees. A literal work of art. The Ruthie Pie is named after our oldest child, who we are surprised wasn’t born a cinnamon roll, given the sheer number she consumed while in the womb. Consider this fair warning. One bite and you will be addicted. Proceed with caution (or don’t, truthfully, we’d prefer that).
Bobo
Meet the Bobo. This cookie is our signature chocolate cookie dough with an abundance of semi-sweet chocolate chips spread throughout. If there is no such thing as too much chocolate in your world, then this is the cookie for you. In the same way this cookie is all gas no brakes when it comes to chocolate, our middle child is the same way, with everything. Hence the name. Bobo is a nod to our middle guy, Jay, who has been lovingly dubbed Bobo by our youngest child. Jay knows no limits in life, just as this cookie knows no limits with chocolate. Eat this cookie if you want to sail off into a chocolate oblivion. Return trip, not guaranteed.
Silly Willy
Meet the Silly Willy. This cookie is our signature chocolate cookie dough with the perfect amount of peanut butter and chocolate chips folded in. Arguably, the best flavor combination to ever exist. This cookie was named for our youngest child, William, who has never met a spoonful of peanut butter or piece of chocolate he doesn’t love. If you have taste buds, this cookie is for you.
Russell
Meet the Russell. The OG. The Cornerstone. The one to start it all. This is our classic chocolate chip cookie that boasts the perfect cookie to chocolate chip ratio. This cookie will forever change the way you judge all other cookies. Its name pays homage to the place my husband and I built the foundation to our relationship, the Russell House, or the beloved cafeteria at the University of South Carolina. Now, please don’t let our college loyalties keep you from having an encounter with this breathtakingly delicious cookie. I promise it tastes equally delicious in both a Gamecock and Tiger jersey.
